Dates for this half term,
  • Tuesday 9th March, Years 5 and 6 are going to a lunchtime concert at the Guildhall in Preston.
  • Tuesday 9th March, PTA meeting at Lea Club, Blackpool Road at 7pm. Please come, all welcome.
  • Thursday 11th March, Bags to school to be sent home for all your unwanted clothing etc.
  • Tuesday 23rd March, YR Y1 and Y2 visit to Underwater Street, Liverpool.
  • Tuesday 23rd Children’s clothes sale, in school, organised by PTA.
  • Thursday 25th March, Bags to school collection.
  • Thursday 25th March, children’s entries to be brought in for our decorated egg or Easter bonnet competition. Winners in each age group, prizes provided by PTA.
  • Friday 26th March, Non uniform day (£1-00) and Easter egg hunt for all pupils. Judging of Easter competitions.
  • Sunday 28th March, Palm Sunday Service at 10.30am starting at Preston Minster and finishing at St George’s Church. Sunday school activities will be provided for the children.
  • Tuesday 30th March, Finish for Easter holidays at 2pm, school reopens Monday 12th April at 9am.

Pennies for Haiti

Our collection of pennies (£161.00) and the fantastic response to the non uniform day last Friday (£163.30) raised a grand total of £324.30 for the Haiti Appeal. Thank you to everyone.

The Haiti earthquake fund raising appeal has been going well. Mrs Nicol and Mrs Greenhall count the donations.

Total raised by the school £324.30.

Newsletter 17 - 29th January 2010

Education Sunday

Many thanks to all our pupils and families who joined us at Preston Minster last Sunday. It was a very special service and we were very proud of our children for their singing, drama, readings and excellent behaviour! We would very much like to participate in another service next term, perhaps as a celebration towards the end of the school year? We will let you know!!

Lea Endowed Church of England (Aided) School has a Christian foundation.  The school was established approximately two hundred years ago as the result of an endowment bequeathed in the will of Samuel Neeld, a local Quaker.
