Finance

The financial report read that there was approximately £1100 in the current account. The deposit account had had a balance of £440.13 and had been combined with the current account so was now closed. The last major expenditure had been the shed which had cost £650 - including a donation of £250 from the council.

The Adventure Playground has now been built. The total cost was £6168.80 aided by a £3000 grant from LCC in addition to the money raised by the PTFA.

Mrs Williams requested that a petty cash tin with a float of approximately £50 would be useful on site for minor reimbursements of expenses, plus a part-signed cheque for any sundry purchases. Beryl will liaise with Mrs Nicol.

The PTFA have financed some outdoor clothing for the children in Reception/Year 1 at a cost of £219.60.  A photograph of waterproofed children was admired by the committee.

Palm Sunday Service

This Sunday we are participating in the Palm Sunday Service at St George’s Church in Preston. The Bishop of Blackburn will be present and our children will be singing during the service. We feel this is a great honour to be asked to take part and request that as many of our pupils attend as is possible, please come along if you can.

We will meet at Preston Minster at 10.15am and walk through town to St George’s Church. For some of the time the children will be working with Father Andrew to make some banners which will be brought into church during the service.

Parents not joining us for the service will need to collect children from St George’s Church, not the Minster.
