Library

The school library service is coming into school early in February to audit all our Lancashire School library books. As we need to collect in all the books before the audit we have closed our school library until after half term.

Project Playground

On Thursday 21st January a representative of Playquest Ltd visited school to work with the children in KS2 to finalise the design for the KS2 Playground Activity Centre. The design was developed from the work the children have done during the last few weeks on Friday afternoons. If all goes to plan the ‘Twin House Activity Centre’ will be installed on our field during February half term.

A display of the children’s work and the final plan can be seen in the entrance hall of school.

Mr Spellbinder is coming again!

Mr Spellbinder is coming to school on Thursday 11th February, we have subsidised the cost by using some of the profit from our Christmas Enterprise Shops and we ask for a contribution from each child of £3.00 (and £2.50 for siblings). Please complete the slip at the bottom of this letter and return to school with the money as soon as possible.

Mr Spellbinder and Lady Spellbinder come to our school on an annual basis; they accompany their dramatised stories with music and lighting. There is always a lot of action, laughter and fun. We all have a fantastic day.

Mr and Mrs Spellbinder work with Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the morning and Reception, Year 1 and 2 children in the afternoon.

Kath Middlemisss.
