School reports

Reports were sent out from school today; if you didn’t receive it please ask your son or daughter!!

Reminder …… Cake Sale

The PTA have organised a cake sale, for next Thursday at 2.30pm. We will welcome donations of cakes (on the day) and money for the children to spend. (Parents welcome too!)

Reminder ……… Church Service

An invitation to come to share our end of year service, at St. Christopher’s Church, on Sunday 18th July, at 10.00am. Please let us know if you are coming.

Reminder ……… School Disco

Monday 19th July from 6-8pm is our end of term disco. Children please pay on the night at the door £2.00 first child and£1.50 for siblings; this includes UNLIMITED drinks of squash. A tuck shop will be available selling ‘eats’ and ice pops. Please send spending money in a named purse or envelope, it will be collected and given out at the tuck shop time.

Homework

Homework has finished for this school year and will resume again in September. If your child is struggling with their homework or any task set by school, please, please call in or telephone school and speak to the class teacher for further help and advice. We are more than willing to help!

Leavers Assembly

For all our ‘Leavers’ we are having our special Assembly on Tuesday 20th July at 9.15am in the school hall. You don’t have to be leaving to join us! All are welcome.

Library books

Mrs. Greenall has started to collect in school library books. Please return any books still at home by Friday 16th July. Thank you.

This is the last newsletter of this term and this school year.

May I take this opportunity to thank all parents, friends and governors for all your continued support. Thank you for your wonderful children who, with the committed teaching and support staff have made Lea Endowed the caring, supportive and happy learning community it has become. I really think we encourage all our family to ‘shine in their own special way’.

School closes for the summer holidays on Wednesday 21st July at 2.00pm and reopens for the autumn term on Wednesday 1st September at 9.00am.

Lea Endowed Church of England (Aided) School has a Christian foundation.  The school was established approximately two hundred years ago as the result of an endowment bequeathed in the will of Samuel Neeld, a local Quaker.
